It is with a deep sense of respect that I am dedicating this issue of my news magazine,“Intergistic Intel--News for Your World Today Coming from Our Network” to the men and women who have served our country in the Armed Forces. This is a special Veterans Day edition which contains the personal stories of 23 individuals, all Executive MBA alums or current students from the University of Denver, who represent the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corp, U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. Their cohort numbers range from 34 to present day 76.
Also featured is an item about Bill Daniels, the person for whom the College of Business is named. Bill was a military man, entrepreneur and a philanthropist. His values and emphasis on ethics underpin many of the “Daniels” academic programs. One of my favorite quotes of Bill’s is noted here. It reflects the sense of humility I sensed from talking to our Veterans, all of whom know the true meaning of “Generosity”. It seems particularly timely …
